Our equipment and knowledge allow us to give you the best possible balance between high quality, price, flexibility, and more than anything, SPEED. Need a couple of live drum tracks NOW? No problem! We have a beautiful kit by DW DRUMS always set up, miked, and ready to go so that we may accommodate any and all "drum emergencies". You can forget about those dreadful all-day setups and make the best of your studio time by actually RECORDING.
Andres Lopez (owner of THE ANALOG VIBE ) is a versatile drummer with 25 years of playing experience, as well as a proud endorser of DW Drums.
There are many different ways to do it, some are quicker and/or more cost-effective than others. It all depends on your particular situation and also on the studio's availability. Here are two of the most common scenarios:
1- You bring in, mail, or email us a rough track, chart, PRO TOOLS or DIGITAL PERFORMER session file, MIDI file, click track, or, simply tell us over the phone, in person or via email what you want. Andres records your drum track(s). This option is perhaps the quickest and most cost-effective.
2- You come in and either record the drum track(s) YOURSELF or bring along a drummer of your choice. In this scenario,you can choose to use the house kit (no set-up time needed) or bring in a different one. It's entirely up to YOU, the client. Small kits can usually be placed next to the house kit, which makes miking them fairly easy by simply moving the mics over to your kit.
Usually, budget and/or deadline constraints will determine what the best option is going to be. Set-up times will vary (depending on what's required) but, once again, YOU decide. Whichever way you choose is fine with us and, if needed, we will be happy to help you choose the best possible option so that you will be 100% SATISFIED.
